What do MALAYSIANS understand about the 1 MALAYSIA concept????
Do MALAYSIANS practiced this concept in their daily life????
Well to be frank, I DON'T THINK SO!!!!! I'm a peace-harmony-loving type of person. So I can say that I'm very very thankful to be living on this land called MALAYSIA. I'm glad that one day, mini me will be born and raised in this country. I'M PROUD TO BE A MALAYSIAN!!!!
Coming back to our topic. So do MALAYSIANS fully understood what does it mean to be a MALAYSIANS????. Lets review back what had happen for the past 53 years of our independence....
16 MEI 1969
I think non of our grandparents , aunts, uncles and parents would want to remember that incident. I heard stories from my grandma and my dad but never thought it was that TERRIBLE until I read it myself in several article. Cina & melayu berbunuhan sesama sendiri hanya kerana keegoan ramai yang mati katak!!! So what if the Chinese won for the election? Do they need to looked down on the Malays? Don't they shared the same land?? They drank from the same water sources and the same food suppliers and they're killing each other without mercy whatsoever!!!! 1 word, BARBARIC!!!
Mac 2001
The same thing repeat itself this involving the Malays and the Indian. Angin takde, ribut takde tibe - tibe yang MELAYU pergi serang yang INDIA. APA KES????
Januari 2010
Baru je masuk tahun baru, ingatkan adela angin perubahan alih - alih cerita yang same. This time involving the muslims & the christians. It started off with the usage of the word ALLAH by the christian was approved by the judge. The muslims are enraged with this decisions saying that the word ALLAH is holy for the muslims and how can it be used by other religion???? Fine! point taken but it doesn't mean you can go and burnt their churches!!!! Imagine if our mosque got tear and burn down??? I mean come on, every religion have their own sacred place and we should respect it like how we want our holy places to be respected by others right???!! Its common sense. Even a 5 years old can understand that.
I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone about the church incident because even the authority still can't find the culprit behind all this eventhough it has been for a week now and 4 churches had been burnt down!!! Seriously, does it take that long to find the clue??? I thought PDRM is the best or so they say. My friends are saying that the police are taking things lightly because
' Bukan orang melayu yang kene'
' What do they care?? Malays have always been like that. If we were to do anything to them they get all worked up for no reason. baru usik sikit nak bising'
As a Malay myself, it got me thinking, Are the Malays always act this way??? I'm confused because I'm always surrounded by multiracial friends. Do they think of me that way too??? You know what I'm not!! If I think that its wrong then its wrong even if it was done by my Malay friends. To me, if you live in MALAYSIA, then you're a MALAYSIAN and not Malay, Chinese, Indian, Sikh and what not.
Why is it that people living in INDONESIA boleh hidup sebagai INDONESIANS and not divided by races??? Why can't we be more like them. We are obviously are at the upper hand. We are doing quite well economically. We're not lacking anything. So why do we act like a barbaric when sensitive issues come out. Yes, we have to agree that Malaysia once belong to the Malays and the Chinese & Indians are the immigrant but we've been living together for a long time, so why can't we developed a good relationship among us. Establised the trust, respect, love and wilingness and at the end we can live happily ever after under 1 roof.
So, now do you think that Malaysians understood the ONE MALAYSIA Concept yang tersangatlah heboh diperkatekan sampai nak tergigit lidah tu?????
LU PIKIRLA SENDIRI!!!
